At NEOMED, we love acronyms! Here’s the ninth in our series to help you decode them.
The Gerald H. and Victoria C.T. Read Distance Education Center, better known as the RDEC (R-deck), was named in honor of Gerald H. and Victoria C.T. Read on May 21, 1999. The Distance Education Center sits tucked away in the corner of the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center, next to the antique iron lung (that’s another story!) The RDEC doubles as a classroom and training center. With capabilities to eliminate geographical boundaries through distance learning, the RDEC has enabled the expansion of medical education opportunities for NEOMED students for nearly 20 years.
