In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Education is making temporary changes to the student loan program, including waiving interest for 60 days. In addition, federal student loan borrowers in active repayment can be placed in an administrative forbearance, which allows you to temporarily stop making your monthly loan payment. We encourage all students to review the guidance by the Department of Education on their website to learn more about these changes.
