Civil Treatment Discussions Begin Today

The president of Employment Learning Innovations, Inc. (ELI), Stephen M. Paskoff, Esq., is on campus today to introduce an important NEOMED initiative regarding civil treatment to President Gershen and the Leadership Team. The Offices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Human Resources have partnered with ELI for the program.

Later this week, several faculty and staff members will attend an onsite three-day certification engagement to become part of a NEOMED facilitation team that will deliver this program to the staff and Rootstown-based faculty during the summer and fall of this year.

Facilitators will explore the following topics:

  • How to address a range of workplace issues related to behavior that isn’t in line with our values
  • How to improve consistency in making decisions and taking any subsequent action
  • How to maintain an environment where all feel valued and respected, especially if speaking up about workplace concerns
