The NEOMED community loves its trees—and a good deal.
At a giveaway Friday, April 27, people flocked to the front of the NEW Center to pick up free pine, spruce, dogwood and other saplings being distributed in honor of Arbor Day. By 11 a.m., all of the promised 100 seedlings had been distributed—and 50 percent more, in response to the demand.
This event was sponsored by the Tree Campus USA committee, which promotes the addition and maintenance of healthy trees on the NEOMED campus. Free saplings were made available to members of the Rootstown community as well as to NEOMED students, faculty and staff.
