2nd Campus Safety and Suicide Prevention Symposium is titled 'Shifting from Awareness to Action'

The Ohio Program for Campus Safety and Mental Health is proud to announce the second Campus Safety and Suicide Prevention Symposium: Shifting from Awareness to Action on Sept. 19.
The event will be held virtually and welcomes participants from across the state and beyond to gain insight and learn from leading mental health experts and participate in meaningful discussion related to the action steps that can be taken on campuses to promote the mental health and wellbeing of Ohio’s college students.
The symposium will begin with an enlightening panel discussion on Suicide Prevention for Helping Professionals, followed by breakout sessions, with The Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program, Lines for Life Oregon, and Annaleise Fisher, Ed.S., LPCC-S, and ending with an engaging afternoon keynote presentation from Dr. Stacey Litam, PhD, LPCCs, NCC, CCMHC, on Decolonizing Suicide Prevention Approaches for People of the Global Majority Students and Clients.

Registration is now open and will close on Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.
