A unique spin on test preparation for M1s

Cyber criminals have hacked into your systems. You’re given a choice: Pay an exorbitant ransom or answer some practice test questions to unlock clues, find hidden ‘treasures’ and solve mysteries to escape and return to providing care for your patients.

That was the scenario given to first-year medical students in the Health Systems course review session on May 21. Course directors Amy Lee, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., Kris Baughman, Ph.D., and Stacey Gardner-Buckshaw, Ph.D., set up this activity in the Great Hall, which was full of determined teams of students who used the activity to prepare for their Friday exam.
