Advocate for the Future of Health Care on Giving Day

For students, lending a hand on Giving Day doesn’t always mean reaching into their wallet. Students like Alexis Schweibinz, M2, and Lauryn Jenkins, P1, plan to volunteer as advocates during NEOMED’s 24 hours of giving on March 17-18.

You can help, too! Challenge your classmates to give to the future of health care.

Share the message! Tell your friends, family and followers what you love about NEOMED using #NEOMEDGivingDay.

Connect with the Future Alumni of NEOMED (FAN) Club. NEOMED has 4,352 alumni representing all 50 states and beyond. Through the NEOMED’s Alumni Association, the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, FAN Club’s mission is to promote meaningful interactions between students and alumni, and encourage students to become engaged members of the NEOMED Alumni Association after graduation.

Become an advocate.

You can help gifts go further by adding your own story to the campaign, then tracking how many clicks, gifts and dollars your outreach is driving in real time. Here’s how:

First, sign up for a GiveCampus user account. Just go to givecampus.com and click ‘Sign Up’ in the top right of the page.

Next, take one – or better yet, all! – of the following steps:

Step 1

Lead by example! Offering a Match means that you’ll give a number of dollars for each dollar or donor that the campaign receives up to your specified maximum gift amount. You can restrict Matches to only apply to donors from an affiliation group, class year or even a specific group of friends.

Offering a Challenge means that you’ll give only if the campaign receives a certain number of donors or dollars after you set up the Challenge. Challenges cannot be restricted to specific donor groups.

Step 2

Let the world know! Create a quick Personal Plea video to show the NEOMED community why you’re excited about the campaign, and why others should get involved. After recording your video, head to the Advocates tab on the campaign page to upload your video.

Step 3

Share away! The built-in sharing buttons (located underneath the campaign video and on the Advocates tab) generate a campaign link that is unique to you. When you use these buttons to share the campaign link while logged into your GiveCampus user account, the number of clicks, gifts and dollars generated by your outreach will be tracked next to your name on the Advocates tab.

Share on Facebook and Twitter to blast your friends’ and followers’ feeds with news about the campaign. Also, share over text and email to make direct, can’t-ignore, peer-to-peer asks. Share early and share often!
