Affinity Flag Display: Request for Submissions

A subcommittee of the University Diversity Council will be overseeing a new installation of an Affinity Group Flag Display in the atrium outside of Meshel Hall.

Students, faculty and staff can request affinity flags to be hung in that space.

The subcommittee will review all submissions and provide the requestor with an approval notice if the flag has been approved. We hope to have the first installation put up this summer!

Please contact Molly O'Malley if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

What is an affinity flag?

An affinity group is a group formed around a shared interest or common goal, to which individuals formally or informally belong. An affinity flag is a symbol used by the group to promote awareness and inclusion of the shared interest or goal. Request to post an affinity flag
