Alex Heintzelman, M.D., is faculty recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award
Congratulations to Alex Heintzelman, M.D. (’11), who was selected by students in the College of Medicine to be the 2025 faculty recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. This award, presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, recognizes graduating medical students and faculty members who are exemplars of humanism in the care of patients.
Dr. Heintzelman is associate professor of Family and Community Medicine and associate program director in family medicine at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Dr. Heintzelman will receive the award at the Virtuous Healer Honor Society induction ceremony on March 13. He will deliver the keynote address during the event.
