New banners are springing up all over campus to spotlight individuals who exemplify transformational leadership.
Part of the Creating Transformational Leaders campaign adopted through the strategic plan, the banners are one of the many ways NEOMED is sharing the story of alumni doing amazing things in their fields and others who help health professionals to practice at the top of their licenses. These success stories demonstrate NEOMED’s continued growth and preparation of current and future health professionals to excel and meet the trajectory of change that’s occurring in health care.
Among those featured on the banners are faculty, students and alumni like Tom Vo, M.D. (’96), a nationally recognized pioneer in the micro-hospital industry; Eric Espinal, M.D. (’92), who led the development of improved intubation/extubation boxes; and Sheila Fleming, Ph.D., who is guiding behavioral neuroscience discoveries into interventions for neurodegenerative disease as director of NEOMED’s Neurodegenerative Disease and Aging research focus area.
