Black History Month events
NEOMED’s Student National Medical Association (SNMA) will celebrate Black History Month with a series of events throughout February.
Tuesday, Feb. 11 – 5-8 p.m.
Join SNMA in NEW 2016 to take a break, eat and study together before exams! Open to all students. Food will be provided.
Wednesday, Feb. 19 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
White Coat Cleaning Fundraiser
Is your white coat looking a little dingy from this past semester? If so, SNMA has got your back. Drop off your white coat on Feb. 19 and pick up your dry-cleaned coat on Feb. 24.
Thursday, Feb. 20 – noon to 1 p.m.
Dr. Kamilah Dixon, from the Ohio State University, will give a talk via zoom about the intersectionality between being a Black woman in OB-GYN. This event is cohosted with the OB-GYN interest group and is a HEAL event.
Friday, Feb. 21 – noon to 1 p.m.
Come and join the SNMA as they host their own version of Jeopardy! Questions will, of course, be related to Black history. There will be prizes for the winning team and food will be provided.
