NEOMED is excited to announce the initiation of a new Research Focus Area (RFA), the Education RFA.
Aligned with NEOMED’s existing RFAs, the Education RFA will foster community, innovation and scholarship with a focus on education. The initial goals of the Education RFA are to foster community, networking opportunities and mentorship in educational research.
Additionally, the Education RFA has the distinct goal to improve educational practice while promoting NEOMED faculty scholarship in the field of education.
On November 15, 2022, Michael Appleman, M.A. Ed. was named the first director of the Education RFA. Mr. Appleman is faculty and Director of Primary Care Education in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
The Education RFA is already popular among faculty with over 30 members. All NEOMED faculty who are interested in conducting educational research are welcome to join the Education RFA and should contact Mr. Appleman at mappleman@neomed.edu to be included.
