Campus Kudos for October and November 2025

Congratulations to Andrea Coard, Academic Affairs Specialist in the Office of the Provost, our first Campus Kudos winner! Andrea was recognized for always going above and beyond and showing up with compassion at all times. She was randomly selected from over 63 unique submissions from across campus.

Hannah Sisler in the Learning Center was selected for kudos four separate times! Here’s what her colleagues had to say about her:

  • Hannah is very generous and thoughtful and goes out of her way to help each of her coworkers as well as students that come into the office. She is always friendly and willing to offer help with anything and everything! She is amazing to work with!
  • Hannah is our go-to person in the Learning Center for just about everything. She is always willing to help, provides clear leadership, and consistently steps up for our team in countless ways. She is not only a dependable colleague but also a true team player. She collaborates seamlessly with others, ensures everyone feels supported, and is quick to lend a hand wherever it is needed. Hannah is also a thoughtful problem solver who often finds practical solutions to challenges that arise and keeps the team moving forward with clarity. She also has the very big job of keeping Craig [Theissen] on schedule and organized, which is no small task, and she does it with patience, humor and grace. In addition to all of this, Hannah serves as a primary point person for our Testing Services Center, putting in many hours to support students during some of their most stressful times. Her dedication, reliability and collaborative spirit make a tremendous difference for both our team and the students we serve.

  • Hannah has been a huge help in my whole onboarding experience with the Learning Center. She is always patient and willing to troubleshoot situations with me that are new or unfamiliar to me. She is a great resource with a wealth of knowledge and understanding! She is continually kind to everyone and always willing to lend a helping hand to others!

Dr. Julie Aultman, dean of the College of Graduate Studies, was recognizing for her supportiveness: “Julie has what is probably the craziest schedule I've ever seen, but without fail, she makes time for her students, staff and anyone else who needs her. Julie is an immense advocate for her team and maintains a warm environment where each of us have the tools and support to build ourselves further. Her professional support has helped build my confidence, and her personal support is always genuine. There's a reason everyone says they love Julie :) Grateful for her and the perspective and care she brings to education.”

Dr. Ashley Conger in the Department of Pharmacy Practice was recognized for her adaptability: “Dr. Conger pitched in and helped facilitate an interprofessional event for my course when I was faced with a conflict, having to teach in the classroom for a different course. She took ownership of her involvement and made sure my students had a quality experience.”

Diana Dillon in the Office of Marketing and Communications was recognized for her flexibility: She “helped the President's office succeed with a quick turn around request for access to Mascot Nate. Appreciate the help!”

Vanessia Freeman in the College of Medicine was recognized for her thoughtful attention: "I’d like to recognize Vanessia for being so kind, thoughtful, and supportive during my onboarding into a new position and department at NEOMED. From the very beginning, she went out of her way to make me feel welcome and included. She has been incredibly patient and generous with her time, especially in helping me navigate our PCard requirements and processes. Beyond her practical support, what stands out most is how she always makes me feel valued and that I truly matter here. Her kindness, positivity and willingness to help have made my transition so much smoother and have set the tone for a great start in my new role. Thank you, Vanessia, for embodying the collaborative and caring spirit that makes NEOMED such a wonderful place to work!"

Amy Furey-Ligan in the Office of General Counsel was recognized for her guidance: “Amy ALWAYS makes time to help with any legal issues and helps gives good guidance.  She also has a good sense of humor!!!!”

CV Garcia in Student Services was recognized for her helpfulness: She “always shows up with incredible kindness, goes out of her way to help coworkers and students even without being asked, extremely engaged in the community!

Nona Hose in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs was recognized for her leadership: “Nona keeps the office running smoothly.  She always available to answer questions, help, and seek out assistance when needed.”

Becky Kirkner in Testing Services was recognized for teamwork: “Becky is a valued member of our team and works to lift up our staff and the students during traditional work and during testing. Thank you, Becky!”

Kim Stormer in the Office of Human Resources was recognized for her positivity: “Kim radiates positive energy and always has a warm hello.  She recently has been a key person in assisting in the education benefit.  I appreciate her guidance.” Another nominator noted: “I’d like to give a huge shout-out to Kim Stormer for her kindness, generosity and constant willingness to help. She always goes the extra mile to ensure everyone succeeds and brings positivity wherever she goes!”

Chris Tutino in the Department of Psychiatry was recognized for his quick thinking: “Chris caught a phishing scam sent to our team very quickly and shared a warning with us all, preventing any problems before they even started!”
