Campus Kudos for the week of June 8

Shout out to these recent Campus Kudos honorees!

Cristina Basaran, Medical Education, College of Medicine, was recognized for her positive attitude. “Cristina essentially has the unofficial title of "chief morale officer" for the Medical Education team. Day to day, she is encouraging, collaborative and always willing to help out with tasks or new initiatives. She also helps plan amazing team building events that bring us all together to share some moments of collaboration and joy to balance out what can sometimes be hectic workdays.  Her attitude and efforts are definitely worthy of a shout out.”

Laura Colwell, Kohli Library, was recognized for training help. “Laura was very kind in taking a lot of time out of her day to help me through my first time using and allocating my P-Card. She was very helpful and helped me learn in a hands-on way. She is always willing to help and answer questions.”

Janel Koellner, Provost’s Office, was recognized for her leadership. “I would like to recognize Janel Koellner for being an exceptional leader and colleague. She consistently provides thoughtful guidance, offers valuable advice and leads by example. Her willingness to support others, combined with her positive attitude and genuine kindness, makes a meaningful difference to our campus every day. She is not only an outstanding leader but also a wonderful person who helps create a supportive and encouraging work environment.”

Debbie Myers, Accounting, was recognized for helpfulness. “She was very kind, calming, and reassuring when helping me navigate what to do when I forgot to submit my monthly timecard.”

Janese Tupta, Wasson Center, was recognized for caring for colleagues. “Janese is the unsung hero of the Wasson Center for keeping me caffeinated when I need an extra cup of coffee in the morning when she has a full pot brewed. It's a reminder that sometimes the little things make the greatest impact!”

Jaclyn Welles, Ph.D., Biomedical Sciences, was recognize for collaboration. “I had the opportunity to work with Jackie on a proposal submission. She is new to NEOMED and was on top of things and communicated well. She remained calm and poised with the submission having technical difficulties. She is great team player and colleague. I look forward to future collaborations.”
