Campus Kudos for the week of March 16

Shout out to these recent Campus Kudos honorees!

Andrea Coard, Provost’s Office, was recognized for stepping up to help another department. “Andrea absolutely saved the day during our recent candidate visit! With our team down a member and me wishing (unsuccessfully) that I could clone myself, she jumped in without hesitation. Even though she’s in another department, she stepped up in a big way to make sure everything ran smoothly and our candidate had a fantastic visit. Andrea, you truly went above and beyond. Your flexibility, teamwork and can-do attitude made all the difference. We are so fortunate to have you! Thank you for being such a rockstar!”

Robin Howard, Registrar's Office, was recognized for her flexibility. “Robin is so amazing, helpful and an amazing person. She has been so helpful with the transition of a retirement at a very pivotal position in the academic year. She was so flexible and helpful. I cannot say how much I appreciate all of her help. Robin is amazing!”

Jennifer Lint, College of Medicine, was recognized for her leadership. Jenn deserves recognition for the thoughtful leadership and advocacy she brings to her role as director of administration and communications. She has been a consistent champion for the administrative assistants she supervises, ensuring that assignments are clearly communicated, expectations are well defined, and records accurately reflect the work being done so that her team receives the recognition they deserve. Her proactive communication and attention to organizational clarity have made a meaningful difference in how we all operate, not just those on her direct team. Outside of that team, she brings her wealth of experience and level-headed foresight to every meeting. In many ways, Jenn approaches leadership the same way she once approached rugby: steady, strategic, and always ready to support the team while pushing the play forward. Fortunately for us, the only thing she’s tackling nowadays is workplace challenges to make sure the team succeeds. Thank you for everything you do for this team and community, Jenn!”

Maclane Stebbins, Institute for Teaching Excellence, was recognized for her presentation skills. “Maclane has done such a great job with the professional development for faculty/staff regarding accessibility. He is so knowledgeable and a really great presenter. Thank you for all your hard work, Maclane!”

Jennifer Wheatley, Office of Admissions, was recognized for approachability and professionalism. “I’d like to recognize Jennifer for the incredible work she’s been doing in Admissions. As the sole person managing the processing side of the department at the moment, she handles new student admits, Banner entry, welcome communications and many behind-the-scenes details that keep everything moving forward. During a significant period of transition, Jennifer has stepped up and taken real ownership of her role. Despite being less than a year into the position, she consistently demonstrates professionalism, accountability and a calm, steady presence while ensuring our incoming students are processed accurately and welcomed thoughtfully. In addition to her strong work ethic, Jennifer brings an incredible sense of humor and a warm, personable energy to the office that makes even the busiest days easier. She is approachable, personable and always willing to help, creating a positive environment for everyone she works with. Her dedication and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have her on the team!”

Gary Young, Information Technology, was recognized for his responsiveness. “I’d like to give Campus Kudos to Gary Young from the IT department. He is always quick to respond whenever questions come up, and his willingness to help makes a big difference. On top of that, he is consistently kind, friendly and patient when assisting others. His positive attitude and reliability are truly appreciated across campus. Thank you for all you do!”
