Campus kudos (week of Aug. 31)

Shout out to these recent Campus Kudos honorees.

Janet Coon, Tricia Babkoff, Heather McColloch and Ashley Stitzel, Office of the President, were recognized for planning a successful event. “Janet, Tricia, Heather and Ashley deserve major kudos for their hard work and planning behind the scenes that went into making the Cleveland Health Innovation Center Ribbon Cutting such a success.”

Belinda Sasala, College of Medicine, was recognized for mentorship. “Belinda is the M3/M4 team manager and she is so supportive of our team's growth and development. One of my goals this year is to grow in my leadership skills and she is taking me under her wing and really walking me though the skills she uses daily. Her mentorship and patience have had such a positive impact on me and I'm so thankful for her leadership.”

Angelina Stiner, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, was recognized for sharing her expertise. “A group of us recently found a grant opportunity that was due in two weeks and none of us was a seasoned grant writer. We had so many questions and needed timely support if we had a hope of submitting. When we finally got connected with Angelina, she went above and beyond to make sure we reached success. She was checking emails in the evening, hopping on Zooms calls when we needed support, and took extra time to explain all the new processes associated with writing grant proposals. We couldn't have done it without her!”

Marketing & Communications Department was recognized for their outstanding leadership, collaboration and dedication in revamping NEOMED's website. “This project required months of planning, coordination, problem-solving and partnership across the University, resulting in a modern, user-friendly website that better serves our students, faculty, staff, alumni, partners and community. Throughout the project, their professionalism, kindness, patience and commitment to excellence were evident, and the Marketing & Communications team worked tirelessly to bring this important initiative to life. Their work has created a valuable resource that will strengthen how NEOMED shares its story and engages its many audiences for years to come. Thank you, Marketing & Communications team, for your hard work and for helping showcase the very best of NEOMED.”
