Campus kudos (week of Sept. 28)
Shout out to these recent Campus Kudos honorees.
Chris Bodendorfer, Printing Services, was recognized for promptness. “Chris is always helpful and prompt. A couple of weeks ago he was completing several large print jobs for multiple departments all with pressing deadlines and even some last-minute reprints. He met all of our deadlines. Chris is awesome!”
Tracy Meffert, Campus Operations, was recognized for efficiency. “Tracy is the business manager and central contact person for Campus Operations. She fields many calls 5 days a week, processes thousands of workorders every year, greets contractors and sales vendors every day, and is always pleasant and positive. Tracy goes above and beyond her job to keep the administration of the department on track financially by producing easy to read spreadsheets showing account expenditures and balances for all of our indexes. She is always willing to lend an ear and offer advice when asked. Tracy is always prepared for any question(s) asked of her. She is a valuable asset not only to Campus Operations but the entire University.”
Natasha Raddatz and Corey Robinson, Information Technology, were recognized for teamwork. “Natasha and Corey went above and beyond to assist me with several challenging computer issues while I transitioned to a new computer and docking station. Natasha provided hands-on support, helping set up and connect my new equipment, while Corey worked alongside her virtually to troubleshoot and resolve additional technical issues. What stood out most was their teamwork, patience and commitment to making sure everything was working properly before considering the job complete. They took what could have been a very frustrating transition and made the process much easier. I truly appreciated their responsiveness, technical expertise and willingness to work together to get me back up and running. Their support was a great example of collaboration and excellent service to a colleague.”
The Grounds Team, Campus Operations, was recognized for beautifying campus. “Our campus grounds team does such an incredible job taking care of our outdoor environment on campus. From the many container plantings to borders and walkways, I am absolutely so impressed with how beautifully the campus blooms each season. Somehow I never see or bump into them to say THANK YOU for making this such a beautiful place to work (guessing a lot of the watering takes place in the wee early hours?), so I don't know which person to recognize, and suppose it really must take a whole team tending to such a large space I – so would just like to say THANK YOU. As the saying goes ‘the proof is in the pudding.’ The beauty of the campus really speaks to the loving dedication of our grounds team and I do so enjoy working in such a lovely place, so THANK YOU for taking such tremendous care of our campus; it is so deeply appreciated!”
