President John Langell shared a host of information in an Oct. 31 Campus Update in Watanakunakorn Auditorium.
Some highlights:
- $1.2 million in grant funding was received in the previous month.
- Two Ph.D. students will defend their dissertations during the week.
- The College of Medicine dean search continues with candidate presentations to the NEOMED community.
- The search for vice president for research has been narrowed down to four candidates. A decision is expected soon.
- Langell thanked the NEOMED Police for their work, especially their ability to balance campus safety with being a part of the community. He passed along a reminder to not let people without a badge into secure areas on campus.
- The campus community is invited to upcoming programs, including a Dia de Muertos program hosted by the Latino Medical Student Association Wednesday, Nov. 2; a celebration of the Bitonte College of Dentistry Thursday, Nov. 3; and Creating Transformational Leaders Day Thursday, Nov. 10
