Campus Update recap
President John Langell shared news from across the University in a Jan. 30 update. Among the highlights:
- Karen Soehnlen McQueen was appointed to the NEOMED Board of Trustees.
- $1,055,009 in grant awards were announced since the December update.
- The Bitonte College of Dentistry continues to prepare for the April 4-5 site visit from the Council on Dental Accreditation.
- Daniel I. Simon, M.D., of University Hospitals will be Commencement speaker in the May 4 ceremony.
- No immediate changes are anticipated in relation to the pending sale of Summa Health to Health Assurance Transformation Corporation (HATCo).
- New programs have launched (or will launch) including NEOMED CONNECT, which links alumni mentors with current students, and Executive Education, which will launch as part of NEOMED affiliation agreement with University Hospitals.
