Celebrating five years of Yellow Belt success at NEOMED

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, another cohort of Yellow Belts successfully completed their training, which marks the five-year anniversary of Yellow Belt certifications at NEOMED.

This diverse group of 18 dedicated learners represented both internal and external participants—16 NEOMED employees and two professionals from the Canton City Public Health Department—continuing our growing partnership with public sector organizations.

Throughout the program, participants applied Lean Six Sigma tools and problem-solving methods to 13 active improvement projects, each designed to strengthen efficiency, quality and customer experience within their areas of work.

Project topics reflected a wide range of services and innovations across campus and the community, such as improving student engagement and readiness in the Pharmacy Pre-Matriculation Course, streamlining CMU supply replenishment and maintenance, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in D1 student kit disbursement, reimagining the library website for a more user-friendly experience, and advancing the Canton City Public Health policy approval process.

We’re proud of the hard work, curiosity and creativity this cohort demonstrated, and we look forward to seeing the impact of their Yellow Belt projects ripple through their teams and communities.

Congratulations to all our new Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts!
