Clinical faculty member appointed to national board
NEOMED clinical faculty member Sara Whittingham, M.D., has been appointed to the National Board of Directors of the American Parkinson Disease Association.
The national board provides strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight and governance to APDA.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Whittingham is an advocate for people living with Parkinson’s disease, especially fellow veterans.
As the press release announcing her appointment notes, “As a person living with PD, she has been a powerful voice for the community, submitting testimony to government agencies on critical issues including environmental exposures, access to care, and veterans' health.”
