Cold Weather Doesn’t Stop Volunteers

Despite tumultuous Ohio weather, 11 students, staff and faculty volunteered their time throughout the region on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 21.

Sponsored by The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, NEOMED’s MLK Day of Service put NEOMED volunteers to work at Hattie Larlham (volunteers pictured below), a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as at Ronald McDonald House of Akron (volunteers pictured above).

From stocking pantries to creating Valentine’s Day cards, volunteers donated more than 50 hours of their time.
