College of Medicine students receive AIPNO scholarships

College of Medicine students Brandon Lee (M2) and Loga Iyer (M4) each received a Medical Student Scholarship Award from the Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO).  The scholarship recognizes academic and research excellence among medical students.

The scholarships were presented during AIPNO’s annual gala and research showcase, held Oct. 10 in Westlake, Ohio.

“I am truly honored to receive this recognition and grateful to Dr. [Rupesh] Raina for his mentorship and for considering me for this accolade,” Iyer said. “It means a great deal to be chosen for this award and to have the opportunity to represent NEOMED at the 2026 annual AIPNO gala.”

Lee shared: "As a first-generation college and medical student, receiving this scholarship is deeply humbling and reinforces my commitment to advancing patient care. I am incredibly grateful for the recognition from AIPNO and for the unwavering guidance of Dr. Raina and all of my mentors, who make these milestones possible."
