College of Pharmacy students match into residency
Congratulations to the 26 fourth-year students in the College of Pharmacy who matched into postgraduate year one (PGY1) residency in the ASHP Resident Match Program for 2026.
Two students, Lauren Ashton and Stevie Allen, matched into two-year programs for PGY1 and PGY2.
Additionally, seven NEOMED alumni matched into PGY2 specialized pharmacy residency positions.
The ASHP Resident Match Program helps applicants obtain positions in residency programs of their choice and helps programs obtain applicants of their choice. It is similar to matching programs used in other health professions, including medicine, dentistry and others.
The pharmacy match is conducted in two phases. Phase I was held March 18. Phase 2 was held April 22.
The NEOMED Class of 2026 PGY1 Match Rate is 92.9%, well ahead of the National Match Rate for the Class of 2026 PGY1 of 86.6%.
Congratulations to all the students and alumni who matched!
