COM scholarship opportunity: Worcester District Medical Society

The Worcester District Medical Society is now accepting applications for medical student scholarships. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, community service and financial need. To date, the society has awarded over 470 scholarships in the amount of $1.1 million.

Eligible M2, M3 and M4 students must currently attend an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school and have been a legal resident of Central Massachusetts at the time of applying to medical school. They will need to provide the required verification from their Financial Aid Office. Additionally, the student may not currently be on leave, in a gap year, in a degree program such as an M.P.H./Ph.D., or in a fellowship year (e.g., student research, global health, etc.), at the time the award is to be dispersed at the society's annual Fall District Meeting and Awards Ceremony in November 2026.
