Communication Channels Across Campus

For many of us, the role of communicator is just one of many that falls within our daily tasks. At times, opportunities to inform our internal community about student, faculty, college or department accomplishments; to promote events; or simply spread the news regarding happenings around campus, while desirable, can be overwhelming. We hope this reminder message of the communications channels available to you can help simplify that task.

Want to share your information, story or event with more than 3,000 permission-based subscribers? Then The Pulse is for you!

Want the internal and external community to be aware of your event? (There are 1,500 events each year, counting internal and external events!) Then you should be putting your event on the website calendar as well as the University’s digital monitors.

Want to place promotional flyers on campus? Then you should be using our info stands and digital monitors.

The Pulse

The Pulse is designed as the official internal communications source for campus news and is delivered as a daily digest to all faculty, staff and students each morning. It is also available for anyone interested in what is happening at NEOMED. This can include alumni, donors, parents and community members.

All are welcome to submit articles, events and news to The Pulse to promote what’s happening on and around campus. To do so, just visit thepulse.neomed.edu and follow the How To Contribute guide. It’s that simple! Information must be submitted via the website and not through email. We do ask that you provide your submission at least 2-3 business days prior to when it needs to be published.

Have additional questions? Check out The Pulse Editorial Guide.

Website Calendar of Events

The NEOMED website calendar of events is a great opportunity to showcase our campus culture to the external community! Our website is visited daily by hundreds of visitors seeking information about NEOMED. It’s also a vital tool in attracting new students, staff, researchers and faculty, and engaging with our current students, alumni and donors.

To submit an event for inclusion on the NEOMED website calendar, just visit NEOMED.edu/events and click on the orange Submit An Event button.

Digital Monitors

Digital monitors are located in various areas across campus. Monitors in each area of campus are maintained by different offices and departments and have been used to share messaging with several key audiences. To discuss content needs for each area of campus, please contact the following:

Flyers & Other Informational Print Pieces

Have you created a flyer of another type of printed information that you would like to share across campus? There are a number of rotating wooden stands equipped with cork boards on campus that are available for use on all three sides!

These info stands are for students, faculty and staff to post flyers, share information, look for roommates, sell books, promote events and more.

All types and sizes of posting are encouraged, however the University asks that the size not exceed 8.5x11.

The stands will be cleared off monthly to ensure that the information on them is up-to-date and to keep them from becoming cluttered.

Posting flyers and information is limited to ONLY these stands and posting is prohibited on walls, bathrooms, lockers, trash cans, posts, windows, doors, fixtures, railings, etc.

Brochure slots on the lower half of the stands are reserved for University provided brochures, magazines and other collateral.
