De-Stress Fest 2021: Better Sleep

Students were treated to a weeklong celebration of relaxation techniques and fun giveaways during De-Stress Fest, held Nov. 29 through Dec. 3. The event was sponsored by the Center for Student Wellness and Counseling Services (CSWCS) with select activities sponsored by Student Services.

The theme of this year’s De-Stress Fest was “Make Peace with Your Sleep.” Activities included a meditation workshop, yoga, distance reiki, relaxation techniques and everyone’s favorite: therapy dogs, generously provided by community volunteers from Wags for Wellness and Best Paws Forward.

The fall De-Stress Fest provides a mental health break for students as they prepare for end-of-term activities and finals.

During the school term, if you are interested in setting up an appointment, have any questions, or need more information, contact the CSWCS at 330-325-6757 or counseling@neomed.edu.

The CSWCS will be closed for Winter Break Dec. 20-Jan. 2, re-opening Jan. 3. However, students will have access to free in-the-moment support 24/7 from Impact Student Life Assistance by calling 866.780.0855. If you are experiencing an emotional or psychiatric crisis and are unable to reach a NEOMED counselor, please reach out to one of the Community Crisis Resources or the Crisis Text Line: 741-741.
