Diwali Recap and Photo Gallery

Diwali is a festival celebrated in India by the Hindu, Jain and Sikh communities. However, it is also observed by other communities and in other countries. And right here at NEOMED.

On Friday, Nov. 4, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Medical Students, Residents and Fellows (AAPI-MSRF) student organization hosted a celebration on campus. About 92 members of the NEOMED community and their families attended.

The evening consisted of song, dance performances, South Asian music, food and cultural activities. The highlights of the night were surely the dance party that occurred on the ballroom floor and a competitive (but fun) game of musical chairs. The winner of musical chairs was the child of one of the attendees, who defeated a large group of NEOMED students.

This was a great opportunity for the NEOMED community, and anyone interested in the event, to enjoy a joyous occasion and learn more about the significance of Diwali.
