NEOMED’s own Dr. Amy Lee chosen as a Celebrity Dancer for Dancing for Kids, benefiting The Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer & Blood Disorders' at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Akron Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare provider in Northeast Ohio and provides care through more than 1,100,000 outpatient visits per year. Care is delivered at hospital campuses in Akron and the Mahoning Valley or in one of 27 pediatrician offices or 80 pediatric specialty locations across the region.
Dr. Lee shares “I personally have many dear friends and colleagues who work in Akron Children's Hospital, promoting the education of future pediatricians and improve the health of the community's youth. Alum from the Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health program, which I direct, and alum from Northeast Ohio Medical University, where I teach, also work at the hospital!”
The event will be hosted by Keith Kennedy from WKDD’s 98.1 morning show and we have three judges who provide feedback on the performances. After the dances are filmed and edited together, the movie will be premiered live on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. at the Midway Drive In theater (Ravenna), followed by a movie and fireworks!
