Dr. Mehdi Shishehbor of University Hospitals is next VITALS speaker
Mehdi Shishehbor, D.O., Ph.D., M.P.H., president of the Harrington Heart and Vascular Institute at University Hospitals and Angela and James Hambrick Chair in Innovation, joins us for the next VITALS | Visionary Health Leadership in Action at noon Thursday, Feb. 6, via Zoom.
VITALS is NEOMED’s health leadership series in collaboration with University Hospitals.

About Dr. Shishehbor
Mehdi H. Shishehbor, D.O., Ph.D., M.P.H., joined University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute in 2017 as co-chair of the Clinical Executive Committee, director of the Cardiovascular Interventional Center, and co-director of the Vascular Center. His area of expertise includes vascular medicine and minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures. He is an expert on minimally invasive approaches to reconstruct lower extremity arteries to treat critical limb ischemia and prevent amputation.
Dr. Shishehbor is widely published on cardiovascular epidemiology, interventional cardiology outcomes and techniques in leading journals such as the Journal of American Medical Association, New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation. He also is the author of many editorials and textbook chapters, co-author of a book on coronary intensive care and cardiac catheterization and a manuscript reviewer for several prestigious medical publications.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular/carotid intervention.
