Empowering educators: The Institute for Teaching Excellence advantage at NEOMED

The Institute for Teaching Excellence (ITE) is dedicated to supporting faculty and staff in creating dynamic, comprehensive and effective learning experiences for our NEOMED students. Our team offers a wide range of services to enhance and transform teaching and learning across all the Colleges. The ITE provides expert guidance on innovative teaching strategies whether face-to-face, online or hybrid, synchronous and asynchronous.

The newest member of our team, Maclane Stebbins, serves as the Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning Coordinator and works to ensure courses are accessible and designed to meet the needs of every student.

Sharon Combs-Eisenbarth, Learning Management System Administrator and Web Developer, supports the seamless integration of technology into the learning environment.

Our Instructional Designer, Pamela Roeper, collaborates with faculty to design student-centered courses while Jennifer Hillyer serves as executive director, partnering with faculty and academic leadership to plan and implement faculty programming, resources and sessions and provide ITE oversight.

Whether you are seeking to transform your course design, refine your teaching and instructional practices, integrate accessible teaching methods, or optimize technology use, the ITE is here to support your success and create an exceptional student experience.
