On Tuesday, Nov. 15, the results of an 18-month collaboration across the University to understand what our students value most in their student experience were shared -- to help us create an Exceptional Student Experience.
Since April 2021, collaborative teams have been working to collect student data through surveys and focus groups, analyze the “student voice,” and draft initiatives that will focus on five major value-initiatives to improve students’ overall NEOMED experience.
The five major values our students shared as most important to their NEOMED student experience are:
- Transparency and Communication
- Sense of Belonging
- Responsive Curriculum
- Personal and Academic Support
- Exceptional Customer Service
Students at the Tuesday session provided feedback using interactive clicker questions to let the lead team know if these values and the objectives created to improve these values were aligned with their perspectives. Results showed that we are on the right track with these values and that they are priorities that should be part of the Exceptional Student Experience. We have opportunities to fine-tune the objectives based on your input as well.
Build the experience
Students can participate in the Exceptional Student Experience in three ways:
- Respond to the ESE Annual Survey that will open on Nov. 21 through the end of the year.
- Send your ideas any time for how to improve your student experience to ESE@NEOMED.edu
- Consider joining one of our five ESE Implementation Teams. Complete the survey.
