Fall elections are an opportunity to add leadership and co-curriculars to your resume

Students: Looking to take on additional leadership at NEOMED? Are you hoping to add co-curricular involvement to your resume?

Complete the application form to participate in the election or selection processes associated with various roles. Please note that you should complete this form based on your current class (i.e., M1 means Class of 2029, P2 means Class of 2028, etc.). Applications will close Sunday, Sept. 21, at 11:55 p.m.

If you'd like to apply for more than one position, please complete the form for each role. You do not need to upload a CV more than once, but you may want to tailor your essay response to the individual role, to select a different college if dual-enrolled and wanting to pursue a different seat, or other similar reasons. Essay responses will be made available on the ballot for elected positions. CVs/resumes, as well as essays, will be shared with selection committees for selected positions.

Here is the complete timeline of the process:

Fall elections & selections for campus councils & committees are live.

  • Application launch Wednesday, Sept 3.
  • Close Sunday, Sept 21, at 11:55 p.m.
  • From there, completed applications will be distributed to the various groups for their election or selection processes. For example, NEOMED Student Council, Student Conduct Council, Curriculum Council and Oath Committee members are elected, while all other committees/councils are selected. Elections involve the council/committee voting to choose which of their peers will fill a given representative position, while selections involve either the council itself, or an unbiased selection committee reviewing applicants and choosing who will fill the role. For selections that use an unbiased selection group, this is called a University Nominating Membership Committee (UNMC), which is comprised of faculty and staff who do not sit on the related council/committee. All groups need to inform Kevin Intihar (kintihar@neomed.edu) who the new members are by Friday, Oct. 17.
  • Final ballot launch by Wednesday, Sept. 24
  • Close Monday, Sept. 29 at noon
  • Email announcement (for elections) Tuesday, Sept. 30
  • Email announcement (for selections) by Friday, Oct. 24
