Farewell to Jim Johnson

It is with mixed emotions that I share that Jim Johnson, specialist with the Office of Financial Aid, will be leaving NEOMED to pursue a new and exciting career opportunity.

Jim has a longstanding relationship with NEOMED, dating back to 2010 when he began as a student researcher with the Department of Family and Community Medicine. He rejoined the NEOMED community as a clerical assistant in 2013, eventually joining the professional team as a specialist in the Admissions Office.

In 2019, he joined the Office of Financial Aid in the specialist role. During this time Jim has brought great efficiency to our processes, was responsible for digitizing all physical financial aid files for currently enrolled students and was instrumental in the rollout of the Banner Communications Management module, including writing a procedures guide and educating other university office stakeholders on how to effectively use the module. We will miss his professionalism and dedication to our students.

A search for Jim’s successor will launch soon.

Jim’s last day with us will be Friday, July 29. Please stop by the Office of Financial Aid in B206 or send congrats to him at jjohnson3@neomed.edu to wish him well as he starts his new journey.
