Get to know Paula Adams

Paula Adams joined NEOMED in February as assistant director of credentialing in the Office of Student Services. The Pulse recently invited her to introduce herself.

What led you to NEOMED?

NEOMED has a great reputation in the area, and I wanted to be a part of that.

What are your primary responsibilities in your role?

In my position, I oversee the management of student credentialing, student health insurance, drug testing, immunization clinics and overall student compliance for college-required credentials.

Are you originally from Northeast Ohio?

Yes! I grew up in Louisville and still live there now!

Tell me about your family. Any pets? 

I’ve been married to my husband, Jeff, for 25 years. We have a son, Colby, who is a sophomore at The Ohio State University and a daughter, Brooke, who is a freshman, also at Ohio State. And I can’t forget about our labrador retriever, Chance.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies? 

I enjoy long distance running and I’m a former competitive powerlifter.

Any fun facts about you? 

I have 78 first cousins and I have 38 aunts and uncles!
