Join today’s Celebration of Health Professions Education

Larry Hurtubise, Ph.D., M.A., curriculum specialist for the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University, is the keynote plenary and workshop presenter for the NEOMED Celebration of Health Professions Education, which begins at 12:15 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 16, in-person in the Watanakunakorn Auditorium or online via Zoom.

Dr. Hurtubise will discuss backward design, a process similar to strategic planning and research design.  Like those activities, backward design defines outcomes, plans action, evaluates progress and reports to interested parties.

He will also share change management strategies to address the challenges of replacing an old or traditional curriculum with a new one by engaging a community and providing support through the transition.
