See speakers and topics for Monday's Celebration of Health Professions Education

Please plan to join us for the Fall Celebration of Health Professions Education to be held in-person in the Great Hall and online via Zoom from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. For those unable to join us in-person please click this link and provide your name and email to receive the Zoom link and password for the event.

The theme of the October Celebration is making the most of new curricular development and curricular change as a scholarly project.

Our own NEOMED faculty member, Leah Sheridan, Ph.D., associate dean for medical education and professor of integrative medical sciences was recently honored by the IAMSE for her distinguished record of educational scholarship. She will be presenting on this topic in her “Double Dipping Curriculum Development and Change with a SoTL Project” session.

An IRB basics session, “Working with the Institutional Review Board at NEOMED,” will be presented by Natalie Bonfine, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Vice Chair at NEOMED. The Celebration will conclude with a “Get Up and Running with Qualtrics” session facilitated by Bob Larson, M.A., director of institutional research and assessment. Bob will be providing a hands-on overview of how to obtain a Qualtrics account, create a basic survey, and a focused session on a few high demand advanced functions. We hope you can join us as we learn from our NEOMED experts and catch up with colleagues while enjoying some light refreshments!
