Highlights from the October 21 Celebration of Health Professions Education

NEOMED hosted its fall Celebration of Health Professions Education event on Monday, October 21.

Leah Sheridan, Ph.D., associate dean for medical education and professor of integrative medical sciences, started the day’s event on educational scholarship in her "Double Dipping Curriculum Development and Change with an SoTL [scholarship of teaching of learning] Project" session. NEOMED IRB vice chair and associate professor of psychiatry, Natalie Bonfine, Ph.D., followed with a "Working with the Institutional Review Board at NEOMED" session. An overview was provided of the different categories of human subjects research and IRB considerations for SoTL projects.

The event concluded with a workshop on the basic and advanced features of Qualtrics software in the "Get Up and Running with Qualtrics" session facilitated by Bob Larson, M.A., director of institutional research and assessment at NEOMED.
