The Human Resources Department is excited to announce we will once again be offering the “Summer of Wellness” schedule, which will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day!
Summer of Wellness:
Each Friday during the Summer of Wellness, the president is granting departments leave beginning at 3 p.m. to allow employees time to participate in a wellness activity. To celebrate the start of summer, the summer leave will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 27.
For holidays recognized during the Summer of Wellness, departments begin their wellness leave at 2 p.m. on the business day before the holiday. The schedule is as follows:Juneteenth - Observed Monday, June 20, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 17 Independence Day - Monday, July 4, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1 Labor Day - Monday, September 5, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 2
The Summer of Wellness will end with the Labor Day holiday.
As employees are paid for an 8-hour day, any employee that is using sick or vacation time on a Friday during the Summer of Wellness should indicate eight hours of sick or vacation time on their timesheet or leave report.
