In the news: NEOMED alumnus fills need in former pharmacy desert
David Hudoba, Pharm.D. (’19), is the pharmacy manager of a new Community Action Agency pharmacy in Lisbon, Ohio.
“It’s been a pharmacy desert for a while, and we wanted to get our pharmacy open to serve our patients,” Dr. Hudoba said in an interview with the Morning Journal News.
The new location is a Federal 340B Pharmacy for Columbiana County. The 340B program requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs to eligible healthcare organizations and covered entities at significantly reduced prices.
