ABOUT KATIE PASSARETTI, M.D., FIDSA
Dr. Katie Passaretti is the vice president and chief infection prevention officer at Advocate Health, where she provides medical leadership for quality improvement in infectious disease and emerging pathogen response across 69 hospitals in 5 different states. She also serves as a clinical professor of Internal Medicine in the Section of Infectious Diseases at Atrium Health Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She continues to see patients admitted to the hospital with infectious diseases in addition to her administrative and educational responsibilities.
In recognition of her contributions to the community, she was named one of InStyle Magazine's Badass 50: Healthcare Workers Who Are Saving the Day and was honored as the 2020 Charlottean of the Year. A frequent contributor to both local and national news outlets on infectious disease topics, Dr. Passaretti is passionate about cultivating future leaders, improving community health and addressing healthcare disparities.
