The Office of the President is pleased to announce that Janet Coon has accepted the position of Special Assistant to the President at Northeast Ohio Medical University, effective March 20, 2023.
Ms. Coon will manage the Office of the President; serve as a conduit for high level projects; manage communication to and from the Office of the President; oversee presidential activities and initiatives; and serve as an ambassador for the University.
Ms. Coon recently served as the associate director of government and external Affairs at NEOMED where she developed, cultivated and advocated on behalf of the University through strategic partnerships with local, regional, and state government entities and led special projects related to accreditation, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities. Ms. Coon has extensive board experience holding community and national positions and a robust background in the insurance industry and hospital system administration.
