Japanese Health Professionals Visit Campus

For a group of Japanese physicians, pharmacists and allied health professionals, NEOMED is a key stop on its annual tour of Northeast Ohio health care institutions. The June 11 visit marked the 18th such tour of the Japanese/American Symposium on Health Care.

Lindsey Loftus, senior development officer in the Division of Advancement, guided the group around the University for the morning, stopping in the NEW Center, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the RGE, the REDIzone, the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center, the Wasson Center, Watanakunakorn Auditorium and more.

Additional Northeast Ohio health care facilities on the group’s itinerary included MetroHealth, Cleveland Clinic, Lake Health, Cleveland Clinic Akron General and Summa Health.

The symposium is sponsored by the Socio-Medical Research Institute of Tokyo; the Health Care M.B.A. Program at Baldwin Wallace University; and the Center for Global Health Affairs in Cleveland.
