Join Team Walking Whales for the Summit NAMIWalk

Each year, the Department of Psychiatry leads Team NEOMED Walking Whales in participating in Summit County’s National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) annual walk to support mental health awareness, education and advocacy.

This year’s walk will be held at the University of Akron’s Stile Athletics Field House on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 8:30 a.m.

We have created and registered the NEOMED Walking Whales team on the NAMI Walks website, and we would like to have your support for the walk!

Here are the ways you can join in the fun:

  • Join the team on Walk day by registering for the Walk. (It’s FREE!)
  • Support the event by creating your own page as a team member. (There are also incentives for team members who create an individual page.)
  • Fill out a Support Card. We have Support Cards for $1 or more for people to sign their name and show support. The cards will be posted in the NEW Center on the glass outside Sequoia. If you are interested in getting a Support Card, please contact Lucky Tisch or Danelle Hupp.
  • Drop some change in the piggy bank located in front of the Psychiatry Main Suite.

Thank you for your support!
