The end of the school year means that Giving Day, June 7, the biggest day of the Annual Giving year here at NEOMED, is upon us.
This Giving Day is big, because as we close this fiscal year on June 30, we begin our final 12-month countdown to the close of the Shine On campaign. Giving Day is part of our Blue Fund, which is included in the fundraising efforts of Shine On, our comprehensive campaign.
This year, we’ve posed our biggest challenge yet! And free t-shirts are involved…read on.
In 2014, we held our first Giving Day Challenge. The goal was to match a $16,000 anonymous gift. The NEOMED community met the challenge. In fact, by raising a total of $44,500, We More Than Matched It!
In 2015, with the support of Huntington, we presented the 2015 GIVING DAY HUNTINGTON MATCH. The goal was to match Huntington’s contribution of $30,000. Once again, The NEOMED community met the challenge—and then some. We raised a total of $82,800, meaning We More Than Doubled It!
In 2016, Huntington returned and upped the ante, offering to match contributions up to $35,000. The 2016 GIVING DAY HUNTINGTON MATCH seemed to become viral as the giving kept coming. The NEOMED community not only met the match—we raised a total of $130,500. Yes, We More Than Tripled It!
On June 7, 2017, we will have another Giving Day challenge, and you can help!
This time, we want to take Huntington’s challenge of $35,000 … and quadruple it!
