Journal Names Paper by Dr. Liya Yin and Colleagues as its Best of 2022

A paper from a research team in Integrative Medical Sciences has been selected as the Original Research Paper of the Year for 2022 by the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology (JMCC).

The article, titled “The essential role for endothelial cell sprouting in coronary collateral growth,” was selected as the top research paper from among nearly 150 articles published in JMCC in 2022.

“On behalf of the entire editorial team, we would like to congratulate and express our gratitude to you for choosing to publish such excellent science in JMCC,” Jenny Kimbel, the journal’s managing editor, wrote in a letter to Liya Yin, M.D., Ph.D., announcing the honor. “Your contribution has generated immediate impact in the field of cardiology, and has contributed to JMCC’s status as among the most widely accessed journals in the field.”

In April 2022, the paper had been selected as an Editor’s Choice article by JMCC and the International Society for Heart Research, which publishes the journal. Dr. Yin presented an Editor’s Choice webinar about the study at that time.
