ABOUT KRISTI ARTZ, M.D., FACLM

Kristi Artz, M.D., FACLM is the Vice President of University Hospitals Connor Whole Health and Christopher M. and Sara H. Connor Chair in Integrative Health. Dr. Artz most recently served as the medical director of Lifestyle Medicine at Corewell Health based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is board certified in lifestyle medicine and emergency medicine, a certified specialist in culinary medicine, and a member of the Board of Directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).

In her role at Corewell Health, Dr. Artz led a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, health coaches, dietitians and chefs in providing therapeutic lifestyle medicine services to support disease reduction and health improvement. As the founding director of the Lifestyle Medicine Department, she received the inaugural award for integrating lifestyle medicine within health systems from the ACLM in 2022. Her lifestyle medicine practice led care transformation efforts including implementation of a culinary medicine program, group medical visit model and remote physiological monitoring services in partnership with a digital health company. In addition, Dr. Artz implemented a graduate medical education pathway to certification in lifestyle medicine and a culinary medicine scholar training tract.
