Leadership appointments on Board of Trustees and other meeting highlights

The NEOMED Board of Trustees held its quarterly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 10. 

During the meeting, NEOMED President Dr. John Langell provided an update. 
Highlights are below:

BOARD OF TRUSTEES: LEADERSHIP 

• Darrell L. McNair, M.B.A., President and Chief Executive Officer, MVP Plastics, Inc., was elected as the new Board Chair.
• William H. Considine, M.H.S.A., Chief Executive Officer Emeritus, Akron Children’s Hospital, was elected as the new Board Vice Chair. 
• Robert J. Klonk, Chairman and CEO of Unison Risk Advisors and Oswald Companies, takes on the role of Advisory Trustee on the Board. (Mr. Klonk had previously served as the Chair of the NEOMED Board of Trustees.)

PRESIDENT'S EXCELLENCE AWARDS

• Dr. Langell took time to recognize faculty and staff members who are the most recent recipients of the annual President's Excellence Awards.

CAMPUS SAFETY

•  The commitment of The NEOMED PD was also a point of praise offered by Dr. Langell during his report to the Board of Trustees. He acknowledged the outstanding efforts of our officers to maintaining a safe and peaceful campus environment.
