Leadership Named to Move Dental College Forward

The Bitonte College of Dentistry has a name, a plan for development and a proposed location on the NEOMED campus. And now, the College has dedicated leadership.

Frank Beck, D.D.S., FAAHD, was appointed interim inaugural dean for the fledgling College. He is joined by Kristin Z. Victoroff, D.D.S., Ph.D., who was appointed associate dean for dental education and academic affairs.

Dr. Beck is program director of the General Practice Dentistry - Dental Residency Program at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He also is an adjunct professor of internal medicine at NEOMED. He chaired the External Advisory Council for the College of Dentistry that set principles to help develop a college to meet the needs of the Northeast Ohio communities and prepare leaders for the future of oral health. Dr. Beck received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentists.

Most recently, Dr. Victoroff was associate professor of community dentistry in the School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, where she held numerous faculty and administrative appointments. She earned a D.D.S. degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, and a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from CWRU.
