Each year Leadership Portage County (LPC) invites business and community leaders to participate in its monthly series of educational programs and is currently recruiting and selecting candidates for its 2025 Class. Northeast Ohio Medical University has taken an active role in LPC by sponsoring NEOMED faculty and staff participation in the program and providing employees with the opportunity to volunteer for LPC events.
LPC is designed to enhance participants’ leadership skills and knowledge of Portage County and the issues it is facing. The Class of 2025 program days will begin this September and continue through May 2025. The class meets a full day each month, and each class day provides an opportunity for in-depth study and discussion of community issues. Participants also tour communities and facilities within the county. Please note the time commitment for the individual selected must be approved by his or her supervisor.
NEOMED would like to sponsor participation in the Leadership Portage County Class of 2025. To make sure that everyone who is interested in participating has an opportunity to do so, we would like to ask for nominations. You may nominate yourself or a colleague. Please submit all documentation providing detailed information as to why the individual should be considered to Heather McColloch, hmccolloch@neomed.edu, no later than Friday, May 31. A committee will review all nominations and the selected individual will be notified by mail.
